Below are the people who make up the team of surveyors at MIPEC MCS. Some have been around for over 10 years whilst others have just commenced with the company. All bring special attributes to the company to assist with its growth and prosperity.

Managing Director/Senior Surveyor
Captain Olav Castellino
Olav commenced with Mipec in September 2019 when he purchased the company. He successfully operates 2 other surveying companies: Castellino Marine and Cargo Care. He has an extensive ocean going background including sailing as a master for a number of years. Olav's surveying experience of more than 20 years includes P&I surveys, break bulk surveys, oil and gas, container surveys and ship safety inspections.
General Manger/Senior Surveyor
Captain Arnel Carino
Arnel has been General Manager since mid 2023 and has been a marine surveyor for over 15 years and with the company for over 10 years. He sailed as a Chief Officer for 4 years and in that time obtained his Master Class 1 before changing professions to marine surveying. He has experience in surveying raw materials, crude oil, petroleum/petrochemical and LNG/LPG/ammonia. Arnel is also a Flag State Inspector for Malta and holds internal Auditor ISM-ISPS-MLC for Shipping Companies accreditation.
Senior Surveyor
Captain Mehernosh Captain
Mehernosh has over 20 years engaged in conducting marine surveys. As well as draft surveys, on hire condition reports, load mastering and bunker surveys, he has extensive experience in pre-loading discharge surveys, stowage and lashing of heavy lift cargos and pre port state control inspections. He is also a Flag State Inspector for Marshall Islands and Malta.
Senior Surveyor
Captain Sonny Vergara
Sonny has been employed with MIPEC for over 10 years as a marine surveyor and was an experienced merchant marine officer on oil tankers, bulk carriers and ro-ro vessels before changing career to marine surveying. He is experienced in draft surveys, loadmastering, on/off hires, pre port inspections, and is a Flag State Inspector for Marshall Islands. Sonny also holds Internal Auditor ISM-ISPS-MLC for Shipping Companies accreditation.
Marine Surveyor
Captain Eduardo Anin
Eduardo commenced surveying with MIPEC in 2012 and in that time has become proficient in all aspects of marine surveying (bulk and liquid cargo), including Flag State inspections. He has a maritime background, being a Master Class 1 for a number of years.
Marine Surveyor
Captain Reza Nashta
Reza commenced surveying in 2021 after 7 years as a Master Class 1 and moved from Adelaide to Gladstone to commence with MIPEC. Reza is proficient in draft surveying, on/off hires, prehold and mock PSC inspections.
Marine Surveyor
Captain Marvin Dizon
Marvin joined the company in September 2022, deciding to retire from the sea Marvin is proficient in conducting draft surveys, loadmastering duties, on/off hire and prehold surveys.
Small Craft Marine Surveyor
Tim Fish
Tim started his career in the marine industry in 1989 as an apprentice boat builder. His experience is in timber, figreglass, steel and aluminium marine construction. Tim became an accredited DCV Marine Surveyor in 2015. As well as surveying small craft, Tim assists with draft surveys, prehold inspections and on /off hire inspections.
